mattyat and i went out friday night for sushi and dessert and such (he paid for the sushi, i paid for the desserts). the only thing bad about sushi is that it makes you want more. we had to walk thru the cold rain to get from the car (sweet new car, btw-- little red things with a moonroof-- forget what its called) and being the geniuses we are, neither of us had umbrellas or coats. wonderful. i kept making wiseass commetns, and matt was commendable-- didn't rise to the bait til the very end when he dropped me off. i appluaded him-- twice.
saturday was mulch shovelling. what a joy. the damn stuff is heavy (so aching backs and shoulders are to be expected as par for the course), and since its decomposing its actually hot, so mom and i, who took turns kneeling in the stuff smoothing it out, had red knees all night. dad managed to sunburn his back pretty bad, but the very next day i did almost the same thing (more tan than red, but still).
i tried to call gina twice, but i kept getting a message that the number had been disconnected, so i called lewlew to see if she had the number, but she must ahve been at her parent's 'cause she never got back to me. so sunday i figured out how to get into my work email and wrote to her, telling her what happened, but no reply from either former G12 girl yet.
saturday night manda and i also went to see van helsing after wandering sround the mall for a wee bit. there were definate things about that movie that annoyed me. i kept trying to like it, but quite frankly, the director was a melodramatic idiot. i don't even know who he/she/it was, but they sucked. then rin and i ended up jsut driving to the local playground and talking for a few hours afterward.
i seem to wind up in palygrounds a lot, huh?
