No one is ever going to read these so it's going to be more likes notes to myself....Still haven't found my camera btw. I can't remember what I put in this so I put no adult content but it may have some language? Possibly.
A world with two suns has no room for darkness. Yet, hidden amongst the humans, comes something that was thought to only survive in this darkness. To those humans, winter never came, and life was easy. Crops were gathered year round instead of only once. But an unexpected creature showed up. One born from the darkness of the short nights that thrived on the fear and blood of the humans. But it did not take lone for these creatures to live among the humans, instead of merely at night. They soon became part of the every day life, and the darkness wasn’t the only evil. With each passing year it becomes smarter, stronger, and harder to deter from it’s goal. Eventually, they disappear. Only stories of their attacks ever really reach the people anymore. Everyone is now an enemy, no one can trust their friends or neighbors when their own survival is at risk. But there was also a bond amongst these people. The Dhamphir. They were said to be sons of vampires. And the only ones who could see them for who they were and kill them. People would hire themselves out as these Dhamphir to earn money, but none would be a true son. Only a small group of people were truly Dhamphir and were regarded suspiciously for they could turn anytime, since they did have vampire instincts.
But even they were only good to a point. The vampires were charming, adaptable creatures and their abilities didn't allow them to see the beings during the night hours, where they were the strongest. They were now seemingly unbeatable. Over the years the humans died out, and by the time the year 1748 pr.e.(pre-empire) came about, they had all but vanished. There was still others off in the mountains, away from Tinostad, the vampire capital, but they could still be reached. The end of the human's reign on Verdensdel marked the beginning for a new era. The empire of the vampire’s was established in the same year, starting them off into year 1 po.e.(post empire). For awhile Verdensdel was content in letting them get power, and everyone was at peace with one another. But the peace wouldn't last long.... On the night the two moons converged, the sky was thick with fog tinted purple from the unusual glow of these moons.
There had been a prophecy.
A male baby would be born to human and vampire parents. He would be strong and would fight the empire for all its worth. As a student he would dominate over his classmates. There would be no disguising who he was, no matter how hard anyone would try. As most parents do, his feared for their young one’s life. They sent the new born off with the midwife, deep into the forests around the trees, and to the one school on Verdensdel they knew The Empire would not be watching.
Koulu. It was a small school on a piece of pretty big property on the base of the largest mountain, Bjerg. The headmaster was never very found of The Empire, so he never registered the names and numbers for his students, but strong and rich families would come and recruit children anyway. It was this that would bring the prophecy back into the minds of the Elders, and send them scuttling away deep into their chambers. The walls posed little comfort for a determined attacker, but the guards and spells around the building would make things trickier.
For years they would question whether or not the boy was in their sites, a whole generation nearly wiped out in the search for one person. The others just watch and waited for the eventual downfall of The Empire, few would actually see the day. But they knew, when that day happened, it would be great.
The clouds would cover the skies and glow red in the presence of the red moons and
sun. The dirt under their feet will be stained with a million soldier’s blood, seeping out from their sliced open bodies. The vampires would still exist, but their empire would not. Only the Resistance and the few Dhamphir would remain. It was a day that everyone dreamed about. A day that was close, yet still so far away. While waiting their loses were great but none for vain.
They waited. The boy grew. Their hope dwindled, but it never went out. It shown on like a flame in the window to light the way home for generations. With this hope they were able to overcome the hardships of the vampires attacks. Hopefully it wouldn’t take too long for the boy to show himself…
