crossing the bridge

woo. after staying in the house for quite a while yesterday, i decided that i should probably go and do something...well, outside. so i told myself that i would reenact saturday's getting lost in the city episode, only this time, i'd go solo. it turned out to be so much fun!!! i wandered down the street, past the park n shop, walked for another large block or so and turned right, and simply kept walking until i decided that before i got more lost than i already was, i should probably head back in the general direction of zsu (speaking of which--i totally want a shirt that says "ZSU" on it. "I 'heart' ZSU" would be even funnier...:), hint hint!:)) i wandered up and down alleys, watching dogs in heat chase one another until quite by accident, i stumbled upon a musical teaching school--they teach you how to play all manner of instruments!!! i'm currently wrestling between learning the pipa versus the zither. any thoughts on this? i'm personally leaning towards the pipa, but that might prove to be an expensive investment. from there, i crossed the bridge (I think i might have been on ersha island! bully for me) back to the southern part of guangzhou and safely home.

anyway, i think i'm going to join luke in the living room to watch some bad chinese soaps. we both can't bring ourselves to go to sleep just yet...:)
