I watched a.i. tonight. I can't believe it didn't get more exposure than it did. It was a fairytale, with a blue fairy to boot. Except the boy was made of machine instead of wood this time around. I'd like to read the short story it was based on. I hate it when I do that though. See a movie, then read the book, that is. It just kills the story, because you already have an idea in your mind of the characters and such.
Sometimes I wish things were simpler. When we read instead of plopping down on a couch and gave our attention to a television. Don't get me wrong, I love watching movies, and adore my thursday evenings eating mint chocolate chip ice cream and laughing at jack on Will & Grace. I just don't like it that I find myself slipping into a "zone" in front of a tv when I'm bored.
Anyways.
I went to a mexican restaurant with my mom and my aunt earlier. It was my aunt's birthday, and we have been plotting taking her to this place because: a.) they shove cake in your face and take a poloroid b.)auntie faye is quite the little belle, with her hair and makeup just so c.) a + b=hilarious. And it was. I have the pictures to prove it.
Question: can they make shorts any shorter this year? I went shopping yesterday with a friend, and could not find shorts with a length any longer than two inches. So yup, I bought a pair. This once would have horrified me, being that all I ever lived in were jeans, cords, and black. Lots of black. Shorts? the hell? Once I unleashed them, I discovered that my legs are kinda nice. :) I even bought a pair of roxy flip flops. Miracles never cease.
My cat is scratching on the wall. He's also taken a liking to nibbling on my toes while I do anything besides give him my full, undivided attention. What a weirdo. Of course, if people saw me singing the otis song to him in the morning, I wonder who would be deemed the weirdo then? No, i will not sing it for you. (unless you've got orange fur all over you, do rollovers, let me rub your belly and nibble at my toes...) Sounds kinda kinky.
