This morning I put on my first pair of Nike Maxsight contact lenses. I thought it significant enough to create a journal entry because the experience was unbelievable.
The image above shows what one eye looks like with it on, and the other my natural color.
I've always had trouble going out in the sun because it is intensely bright for me. When you first put them on, they are just like putting on Orange polarized sunglasses.
I walked outside and instead of squinting, I saw everything clearer because there was far less glare. NOTE: LESS THAN contacts plus Sunglasses! Perhaps that is only my perception, but with sunglasses, light can leak in along the sides.
Now, about this BS about them "requiring a fitting". This is complete and utter nonsense! First, they only come in ONE size BC 8.7 DIA 14.3 (at least that's all that 1800 contacts stocks, so you decide). That's it!! All you need is your lenses power (OD/OS) and you are good to go. Don't fall prey to the $50 scam.
What I read on the contact lens sights didn't tell me much, and what I read on the Nike sight, other than the cool light spectrum diagram, didn't tell me much either.
I hope this helps others who need to learn more about these.
Perhaps the most UNDERRATED contact available.
No more sweaty glasses while playing beach volleyball, or exercising outside!
Only one downside - you look a bit possessed when you wear them!
