Man! The thing with being pregnant is that you are so tired all the time. I can sit around on my rear end all day, and I'm still exhausted by the end of the day, let alone when I have real work to do!

Today I went with my sister and niece to get my niece's 6-month-old pictures done. They turned out sooooo super cute! I'll have to see if I can get a few of the poses scanned in and posted here. The best one was Faith in a patriotic outfit (navy top with white stars and red and white striped shorts) and she is holding a mini American flag. Should make her daddy in Iraq proud! She looked sooo super adorable. She really is photogenic too. My sister is thinking about having her do some baby modeling shoots (if they think she's cute enough, which they will) so that she can put that money away for her college. Not a bad idea in my opinion.

Last Saturday Naomi, Faith, and I went to the solstice party at the farm where we participate in their CSA program. CSA stands for community supported agriculture, and basically what it means is that we "subscribe" to get a box of fresh, organic produce every week. It's really wonderful. Really good quality stuff, and it supports sustainable farming practices and a local business. We get way more variety in our diets too. For example, this week we got red lettuce, kale, broccoli, cucumbers, green beans, basil, carrots, spinach, red potatoes, apricots, nectarines, strawberries, and cherries! Anyways, back to the solstice party, basically it was a potluck where the farm itself provided salad and stuff to make halibut tacos and everyone else brought organic side dishes. I made homemade salsa! Most interestingly, they did a hay ride tour of the farm, so we learned how they farm the land (weeding is the biggest money/time consumer when you don't use chemicals!), see some of the produce that was in our box this week, hear about how they rotate crops, and see some stuff they recently planted that we'll get in the future (like pumpkins, squash, corn, chard, etc.). It was really neat. Besides the CSA program, the farm also sells produce to PCC Natural Markets, Larry's Markets, and a variety of restaurants in the seattle area that serve organic foods. I can't wait until our baby is old enough to take to the farm for these parties. There were soooo many cute kids there who would get super excited at seeing a tractor! It was really adorable!

Well, I'd better get myself off to bed. I'm Nannying tomorrow, so I have to be up early.
