I was driving to work today and I swear it was my turn to get behind all the idiots. First off I came off of 71 north on to 270 headed towards dayton. There were 3 or 4 cars in front of me. It was cool, and we all were moving at normal speeds and smoothly. This fucking woman who makes yoda look like a spring chicken comes off of the 71 south ramp and cuts over in front of us. We were traveling about 65 and she came over doing less than 55.
Needless to say, brake lights and near misses ensue.
The next adventure was the asshat that would speed up to 70 and then break check. After this happening 2 times I finally found an opening and passed.
Thus my drama for the day.....
- On several unrelated notes. I started playing Second Life. It's an ok game. I've started playing around with the ability to create items ingame. So far I've went into the "sandbox".
The sandbox is kinda of nifty, you have about 10 different shapes (think of wooden blocks). From them, you can resize, stretch, and then link the items to make more complex items. So far I have made a small toy sail boat, and then a flying surfboard with jet nacelles. What makes this really cool, is you can attach objects to different body parts. This allowed me to attach it to my feet and use the fly feature of the game to go zooming around. While typing this, I have an idea. Silver Surfer anyone?
- Other than that I've started playing AO again. Seems the just released a patch that's causing alot of crashes. It was really bad Monday night, and didn't seem as bad last night. My fixxer has progressed to level 26, so she's trapped in the subway in Borealis. But's that char is at the point of being able to wipe the floor with most of the mobs there.
- And lastly, I finally got my computer back to somewhere that I am happy with. I got the vid card & a SB live card installed. I must say I have missed the vid card and I love the quality of the SB card over my onboard sound. I just need to figure out if this card supports to headphone & mic jacks I have on the front of my computer.
Once I get that straightened out, I can attach the digital speakers I have and replace the analog ones I am currently using.
