That Was The Weekend That Was
Friday -- I had the day off for Veteran's Day. Took my car to the shop to have the mechanic fix the heater. There's a noise when you run it. The mechanic removed a dead mouse. I now have a working heater again. :) We spent most of it decorating the rental hall for the UU fundraiser on Saturday. The theme was the Tales of the Arabian Nights. I have to say, it was a heck of a job, nearly as good as Lothin does for Harvest Raid. The hall wouldn't be a bad place for an event either, come to think of it.
Saturday -- Visitor on the back deck railing this morning. Guide book says she's an immature female red-tailed hawk. Needless to say, not a song bird in sight. Tales of the Arabian Nights Goods and Services Auction in the afternoon. The food was wonderful We raised about $6600. I won award for Best Costume. My feet are killing me.
Sunday -- UU Services in the morning, walked the dog in Russell Joy Park. Grocery shopping. Made an early night of it because we were both exhausted from the weekend.
Monday -- A tornado touched down in Fredonia and Westfield. I was at work and then in Buffalo. Karen and the dog spent an hour down in the basement when the TV announcer said it was touching down. No damage to our house.
Tuesday -- Third Tuesday Table Talk. Dinner with UU friends. One of the founding couples of the church just came back from NYC. They're now grandparents!
