Back from the 311/Alien Ant Farm concert. My first concert of this kind so it was quite interesting. At first, I smelled this funky stuff and I couldn't place it even though it was familiar to me. Then Katie was like, "It's the guy behind us! Pot!" Alien Ant Farm didn't really rough up the crowd, but 311 did. Everybody was like pushing and jumping and mosh-pitting. I was getting so pissed that people were like hitting me that I started to just elbow every person that hit me. Then after calming down a bit talking to myself and saying that this is a concert and it's to be expected, I was able to be more jovial toward the oh so excited mosh people. I just stood behind or next to those huge tall big people that just shoved everyone that hit them away. Of course, standing behind a tall person most of the concert wasn't all that great either. First I was like 10 ft from the stage and after pushing and moshing and all that, I was 3 times that away later on. People were sweating like non-other, which is expected but when they head bang and all this sweat is splashing me, it's just not fun! I got hit by a cigarette on the hand. I was hit on the right side of my face from above as this guy was being passed around and I didn't know he was behind me and when he got to me, well, I wasn't there and he fell to the ground hitting me in the process. Basically, I was nicely roughed up. This one girl gently supported me from behind as people were pushing me at one point. That was nice of her although I'm sure it was more for me to not hit her. Overall, it was fun. Next time, I'm gonna push people!
