Two Years Ago...

So, two years ago I had surgery to remove a tumor/cyst/something in my wrist. They gave me these painkillers and I took them for about a week and a half because the cast was heavy, which bothered my arm, and I was having trouble sleeping (and the pills helped ( Read more... )

I was on Vicodin for a week for a cyst in my neck. . . I've never slept so well in my life.

. . . I probably shouldn't have told my French teacher that, because I'm fairly certain he thinks I'm a drug addict now.

XD

Heh.

I was only supposed to have the stuff "just in case"... and my mum freaked when she found out I'd been taking one a night for ten days. It was so utterly brilliant. I wish she hadn't hid the stuff, because I could really use it right now. *sigh*

Nearly-Vicodin-Addicts Anonymous FTW!

Yeah, my mom was the same way... and then, like, a month later I was on painkillers for my wisdom teeth and she flipped out all over again.

Have you looked in to sleeping pills or anything?

NVAA. Oh, twelve-step programs...

*stares*

NO WAI.

I got my wisdom teeth out a month later, too! I don't remember what I was on for those, but I was so swollen and completely unable to form a coherent sentence that I think she let it slide.

NVAA. We should get, like, icons for that. Or bumper stickers. XD

^points at icon.

I'm so going to hell.

Hahaha, we are like twins. Except with medical procedures.

(All the Google ads have to do with Vicodin now.)

Yay! Icon! I can has (w/credit, obvs)?

Ha. Google ads for Vicodin. XD

I told this friend of mine about the whole Vicodin thing. We're both huge fans of House, so she goes, "Were they yummy?" I shrugged.

"You know, my dad asked the same thing, and truthfully, I don't remember."

Of course you can has.

I don't remember much, either. Except that I slept really well.

Oooh, thanks! XD

Ah, Vicodin-induced sleep. Beautiful.

As soon as I can, I'm going to make a whole set of NVAA icons! Yay!

I so do not feel like writing a critical-thinkie thing about an article regarding internet dating in connections with sociological and cultural influences of the real world.

Oh, papers. The day I hand in my last-ever essay I'm going to cry from joy.

So'm I.

Unfortunately, I'm a high school senior and next year I'll get to experience the Joys of College Papers. Ugh.

The sociology thing is actually a class at the community college. This girl in my photography class was reading a paragraph in the article I'm using, and she goes, "what language is this?" because it's so difficult to understand.

But it's like Shakespeare--it takes a bit of time to get used to the language, but once you've read a bit and it's sort of sunk in, it's much, much easier.

Shakespeare is kind of like technobabble -- it makes sense after awhile, not so much at first.

Oh, College Papers. Looking forward to those....

*groans*

I'm thrilled I'm graduating and finally getting out of here, but not so much looking forward to the papers. Or all the crap I have to take care of before I actually end up there.

(on the plus side, I guilt-tripped my daddy into taking care of the FAFSA for me)

Ditto. I'm just waiting for the acceptance/rejection letters.

Financial aid stuff is driving me crazy. I don't understand any of it.
