suburbia

I hear the constant drone, the angry buzz of wheels and engines impatiently racing from stoplight to stoplight. Neighbour tenant has guests and they murmur soft and cackle loud. Jocular, alcoholic conversation wafts up through the open window where twilight presents itself on the other side of the skeletal tree, growing more skeletal every winter ( Read more... )

the cookies talk to me

great - reading along, smiles at the words end of paragraph last.

I notice things here in the crd (cariboo regional district), I notice things like the winding rivers begging for a lazy afternoon float down in an or multiple inflateble dingies, from lake to lake via lazy waterway - sounds oddly enouph like a good way to get burnt tho....

I notice the way the leaves seem to clap as I drive by on the birch that hug said waterways... the spotted red trees of a truely pine beetle infected area.... the large bails of hay the way the grass blows gently in the wind.

I know I could live here, I could grow here, and retire here... I know this as I make future plans without seeing the layout, I see the potentials, and know the risks, and am prepared to make good on ideas...

a hot tub on a trailer, solar panels on the roof, steel drums in the crawl space circulated warm water from hydro thermal induction occupping some of the roof area, the geothermal lines 6 feet down raising the cold 4 degrees to an ambient tempature year round reducing time to have 104+ degree hot water - be it from electricity or wood stove... the cooling effects the same geothermal provides in summer, the infloor zones not only in the house but along the pathways to the out buildings and the driveway....

the green houses, the sauna, the midnight swims... the cold winter nights embraced by the wood heat of a regency fire place...

I could simply disapear over night - this all hinges so lightly for me these days...

and to read that the cookies talk to you
