Pillars of the Earth
I am finding that I'm not liking the characters as much as I thought I would. It has been a few years since reading the book and maybe that's the difference. That and they needed to play with the ages of the characters I guess since having the young kids be younger than ten / twelve would be a problem. ramble ramble.
I do love Ellen though - the actress seems to know exactly how I pictured her. Dodgy clergy seem to be doing their job well. I do NOT remember Mrs Hamleigh being so... creepy. I have not decided on everyone else yet.
As for the film 'straying' from the book's storyline, I don't want to consider. The film is someone else's way of showing the story so I'm going to just try to keep that in mind.
