ONE radio story says that Vancouver had good 'economic performance' courtesy of the Olympics.
Another radio story title: Vancouver School Board announces potential cuts following $18 million budget shortfall
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The Vancouver School Board is facing some tough decisions and taking a look at the proposed budget, following an $18 million shortfall. There were plenty of long faces amid the School Board Trustees, most of whom claim there's no way they can support the budget. Some were even calling for the resignation of Education Minister Margaret MacDiarmid. ..."
It goes on but I don't need to include it. This crap happens and we TAKE IT. OH let me bend over some MORE because I know that education doesn't need to change or grow. Sure the kids are changing and growing, sure the classrooms are more diverse than ever before, but nothing else needs to change. Nothing needs fixing.
NOTHING needs fixing ... For example, the roads that we drive don't need to change. Not everyone drives on them, after all. Some people only use the sidewalks and they never use the painted lines so of course the lines don't need to be painted with the fancy paint. We don't need to send out street cleaners and sweepers. The rain cleans the streets and if there's a bit of sand or grit that the wind doesn't clear out then the cars and trucks will just make a path with their tires. Many of the little potholes are so much smaller than a car's wheels so we don't need to fix them and they look fine on a rainy day - you can hardly see them. As for lights and stop signs, I'm sure we don't need new ones. In fact, we can afford to cut back and reduce our power by eliminating at least 12 of the minor intersections and 3 of the major intersections. We should get traffic to re-route to all other intersections and avoid those without power.
I just can't believe how governments PLAN to sabotage our future. I applaud the actors for making this vid and I wish our provincial 'leader' had a Hollywood past so we could make fun of him. I guess we could say something about his DUI while in Hawaii.
