update
Last few days:
:) ... Without a car, Snow Days are easier and the commute is not easier, just different. Instead of staying alert and keeping brain active for a motorist with a sudden attack of the crazies, I get to walk past the park and clomp through the snow.
:) ... Walking in a winter wonderland
:( ... Forgetting that I'm not 9 years old and energetic. Yesterday there was a crust on the snow. "let's walk through the park, just like when you were a kid" My legs want to kill me now. Reminds me of "LOOK, sand dunes! We must climb them"
:( ... ice patches and drivers who don't see a pedestrian in a bright red jacket "Hey, I'm walkin' here"
:) ... Having planned well in advance to buy boots, I made the time to buy new boots last week, the day the snow started to fall. Army & Navy. Size six but I put in insoles and I've been wearing the new boots all week.
:) ... Planning out the Saint Nicholas presents to exchange on Dec 6th

Specialist doctor wants to do a PET scan (much more thorough than a CAT scan, a PET scan includes all critters - haha) to see if the vasculitis is active or if my complaints are merely me getting older. PET scans are mostly for detecting active cancer so it's likely that an appointment would be not soon in coming.
:( ... Concerned about presents to get for family. Would like to believe that cards saying "A $$$ donation has been made to the SPCA/FoodBank/Shelter in your name" would be good enough for everyone in my family but alas! it is not the case.
