(no subject)
You know, I'm trying to remember the last time I got to sleep in. And...well, I know for a fact that it was long before d Keira was born. *sighs* It's February. Two weeks left. I hate this time of year. Back when I was a kid, even a teenager, I considered it my favorite time of year. But once I hit 23...it was no longer fun for me. This year...will be my last year in the 20s, officially. It's depressing. And I say officially because I fully intend on lying about my age after this year. Maybe. I dunno. All I want to do for my birthday is stay in bed, hiding under the covers and avoiding the truth (which I am decidedly great at). But I don't see that being even remotely possible. I hate birthdays.
I started reading Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews. I've read her books since I was a young teenager. I've read Flowers in the Attic hundreds of times. I LOVE V.C. Andrews' books. Though she hasnt actually written a series since Heaven. May she rest in peace. Apparently her family (from what I remember reading about) still has books published in her name. Works for me. I think it's rather sweet. But whatever. I am a huge fan, and have been for many years. I find it funny that you find her books in the horror section. I've never considered her books "horror". But thinking about it, I guess I can understand why. The monsters in her books are people. Nothing scarier than that. And I guess some of the situations in her books are...well, for a more mature audience, I guess you can say. Highly disturbing, some would say.
Not much else is going on. Keira and I are watching a Spongebob video. I think she's tiring of Pirates of the Caribbean. *cries* I offer to put it on for her, and she says no. Darn. There goes my eye candy. Loooooove that Johnny Depp!!!
Oh! Found out that the LAST book of Harry Potter will be released in July. July 21 to be exact. How sad is that? I already know I'll cry at the end of the book. For the simple fact that no more will be released. It's depressing. I read that it's been ten years since the first Harry Potter book came out. Can't believe it's been that long. *sighs* I wonder if she'll start another series after? Though personally I'd love to see her start a new series about Harry's kids in the future or something. A continuance if you will. *shrug* Don't see it happening though. I had to laugh when I saw all the controversy about Daniel Radcliffe and his new role. What? Did people think that he'd do Harry Potter only? And that would be that? No, folks, the man has a career to work on. I applaud him. He's trying to branch out from being Harry Potter. Can't blame him. Do it now, wont be so hard later on. He's what, 18 years old? It's time. Especially with the end of the movies so close. The Order will be out this summer. So, really can't blame the kid.
