(no subject)
So I had two loads of laundry drying downstairs, but Spiderman-2 was playing at IMAX in 45 minutes. I promised Glucky I would go, but I needed to watch for my laundry. So what do I do?
Well, I tell Liz Billy that I will give her $5 if she picks up my laundry in an hour, and then I leave with Jett, Troy, Sarah, Katie, Adam, & Laura for the aquarium's IMAX theater. We had fun running to catch our subway car, watching SM-2, and "riding" the car back (with no hands!). When I get to the dorm, I check to see if my clothes were removed from the dryers. THEY WEREN'T! So what do I do?
I play a dirty trick on Liz Billy. I asked her where my clothes were. She immediately screams, "Oh shit! I told Eric to remind me! Shit!" I respond, "You're joking! I just checked the dryers, my clothes aren't in there!" Liz Billy leads me to the laundry room where we proceed to check each washer and dryer for my clothes. She rationalizes and exclaims, "Maybe Eric has your clothes!" She nervously tells me that she's sorry and that she'll help pay for the clothing if it was stolen. We somberly march up the stairs to our rooms.
Then, before we separate, I tell her that it was all a joke, and that I found my clothes safe and sound. Liz Billy FLIPS OUT in hysterics and exclaims, "Oh my God! I hate you! Urghh!" She chases me up the stairs and pushes me continuously against the wall, my laughter echoing in the halls at 1:00 in the morning.
Cost of laundry: $1.25 per load... and that's just to wash it. Drying is separate. :-\
Subway: $1.25, one-way
Movie: $10.95
