Sunday @ NEU

Sep 12, 2004 20:32

So today was my first Sunday at Northeastern, and since I was home yesterday, today was my first full day on a weekend here. Instead of venturing out into the city, Adam (again, my room mate for all of you who don't recall), Laura, Mike, Sarah and I went to Hampton Beach. Let me tell you: going to the beach after labor day is the only way to go. The beach was empty despite the fact that there was some big seafood competition, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I had tons of fun being wicked mean to everyone, especially Mike Cronin's dad who randomly put on Sheryl Crowe songs and then left the room while we were eating. ROFL had to be there, holy crap. Also on my list of memories from today:

1. Lots of mustard on my burger ("I think ketchup neutralizes mustard. I can't taste it.")
2. Me freaking out about the damn ear wig in the matchstick box.
3. Laura touching me with her wet toes.
4. Me being obsessed with Donnie Darko and that damn song, "Mad World."
5. Jared Leto with skunk hair ("I want Jared to go GQ, Sarah...")

Hrm, what else is new. Oh! I ordered a subscription to Entertainment Weekly so that I can have something to look forward to in the mail. Isn't that wicked sad!? Well, I thought it was.

Oh! I just remembered! My gaybor (a dorm neighbor that is gay! Fun word, huh?) Eric is awesome! He likes Buffy, Avenue Q, and Garden State. He REALLY likes Buffy, though. Really. He's obsessed like me, it's insane. He can name all of the episodes (like me), he makes references to it all the time (I do that in my head, but never verbalize), and he watched the college episode four times since he's been here. And he has a deadjournal (though he won't give me his username so he can gossip about people here). Ya, that's Eric. Then there's Brandon. I guess I like him, but I don't really know him too well. Gay people aren't the easiest people for me to approach, so I haven't had a conversation with him or anything. There'll be plenty of time for us to get to know each other; we're two doors down.

So last night I stayed up with Eric and his friend Stephanie (who goes to Tufts) till 3:30 playing Trivial Pursuit. I loved how Eric tried sharing his random Viagra trivia, but couldn't get passed, "Viagra has caused a growth in..." and then forgot what he was going to say. He was trying to dictate to us how Viagra caused an increase in the number of old people who contracted AIDS because more old people are having sex now, but since he just paused where he did, I couldn't help but burst out laughing. It was priceless. Alright, I'm going to read my issue of Entertainment Weekly. :-D
