The Boy With A Dragon Tattoo 7

When Seohyun didn't answer to her calls, Taeyeon reached her hand out so that she can squeeze the conditioner out of the bottle, and into her hands. Seohyun snapped out of staring at her back to pour her captain some conditioner.

After she felt the conditioner on her hands, she immediately thanked her hoobae by contorting her head to face her and thanking her. Seohyun laughed in response to what her captain did. She can be pretty childish at times. She took one good look at Taeyeon's back, and then she went back to her stall to finish her bath. She thought that she would talk with her captain later.

When they were all done with their showers, Seohyun immediately walked alongside her captain. Taeyeon smiled and thought that her hoobae is trying to act cute in front of her again. Neither of them spoke until they reached the university gate.

Seohyun spoke up first. "Captain."
"Hmm?" she hummed in reply.
"I was wondering about what I should do in the upcoming tournament."
Her captain smiled to comfort her hoobae. "Relax. You're going to do great, Hyunnie. I've seen you play with Jieun during the last tournament we joined. You were the defensive anchor, allowing Jieun to smash the ball without worrying about defense. Just do what you usually do and we'll be fine."
Seohyun smiled at her captain's assessment of her abilities. She bowed to her captain, much to Taeyeon's surprise.
"Once again, thank you for trusting me with this," she said, her head still bowed down low.
Taeyeon slapped Seohyun's back and giggled. "You don't have to be so formal with me, Hyunnie. We're outside the courts, remember?"
Seohyun nodded and smiled. Silence soon followed.

They decided that it was too early to go home, so they went to the nearest park. Taeyeon was texting someone, while Seohyun was fidgeting in her seat.

She was itching to ask her captain about it, but she can't bring herself to talk.
Taeyeon can't help but notice the tension in Seohyun's face. Whenever her teammates are troubled, she can't help but feel motherly and help them with whatever they're thinking about.
"What's wrong, Hyun-ah?" she asked her hoobae.
"Ah?" Seohyun answered, rattled by the sudden question.
"What's bothering your mind?" her captain rephrased what she said earlier.
"Ah, Unnie, sorry for worrying you," she apologized. Taeyeon shook her head and gestured her to spit out what's in her head.
"Uhm, your tattoo..."
"Ah, that?" she laughed.
"Ne."
"What about it?"
"Was that painful?"
Taeyeon smiled at her innocent Hyunnie. "I'm not sure. The first few minutes sting. It tickles when you get used to it. I think it's less painful than... You know..."
Seohyun immediately blushed.
Taeyeon laughed. "This is why I love saying ambiguous things when you're around, Hyunnie. You're too quick to assume."
She pouted in response.
Her captain smiled. "Aww, don't pout, Hyunnie dear. I was just teasi- ah! Yonghwa!"

Seohyun immediately turned around to look at the person Taeyeon waved at.
It was him, walking towards them. It was an understatement to say that Seohyun was shocked to see him at this time.
Yonghwa was smiling when he approached the two.
"Ah, Seohyun-ssi, anneyong," Yonghwa greeted her cheerfully. Seohyun exerted effort to twist her lips into a smile and nodded at him.
Yonghwa turned to Taeyeon. "So, shall we go?"
Taeyeon smiled and nodded in response. She turned to Seohyun. "We'll talk about tattoos some other time, okay? We need to discuss our assignments in Sports Management."
Seohyun nodded. No matter how she tried to speak, words won't come out of her mouth.
Yonghwa leaned to her. She felt her heart beating irregularly. He saw her unnerved expression, and it made him smile.
"Don't be so tense, Seohyun-ah," Yonghwa whispered. Seohyun looked at him, eyes wide with what he said.
Taeyeon was already walking away when he called him. "Yooong, we're already late. We need to read 20 pages, remember?"
Yonghwa stood up and looked at the tennis captain. "Got it, Taeng. Was just saying something to Seohyun-ssi."
"Related to MMA?"
"Yep."
"Alright, let's go, then."

The two walked away. Seohyun looked on. It took her ten minutes before she thought of leaving the park.

***

She met him late April. They got together late May. It was now late October.

Seohyun and Minho were eating at an Asian fusion restaurant in the Gangnam district. Despite her objections, worrying that his budget won't live through another day after eating in the restaurant. Having a famous footballer for a boyfriend has its perks.

While they were eating a weird offspring of samgyeopsal and adobo, Seohyun asked Minho how Taeyeon and Yonghwa were as a couple before.

Minho gave his girlfriend a weird stare. He was amused that she was interested in her captain's love life. "Why?"
"I've never seen Unnie that mushy before," she confessed.
He laughed heartily. "Taeng's that way when it comes to romance, I guess."
She nodded, urging him to carry on.
He continued. "Taeng is really serious when she's doing the things she love. She's strict and all that when it comes to tennis, and she gives it her all when she's in a relationship. That quality of hers makes her irresistible. That's the reason why Yonghwa and I fought over her before."
She was surprised with the sudden revelation, but she didn't pipe up. Seeing that his girl didn't say anything, he continued his story.
"They were a match made in heaven. They were both devoted to the things and people they cherish. It puzzles me what made them break up the first time, though."
She kept on nodding until she understood what he said.

The first time?

"Oppa?" she asked.
"Hmm?" he answered. He's wolfing down the samgyeopsal-adobo dish.
"What did you mean by the first time?" she asked. She was trying to ignore the voices inside her head.
He smiled. "Jasshik, Hyunnie. They got back together. About two months after you said yes."
"Oh," was all she got to answer.

The conversation died down. They were eating in silence when Minho and Seohyun received messages.

Seohyun opened hers. It was from Gary:

Hyuuuuuuuuuuuunie~!

I neawd a drienkingf buddfey. We;re at thue usuals place.

Seohyun gripped the temple of her nose. It must be about Jihyo-unnie again.

She looked up to Minho and told him,

"We need to go to Brad-gyusoonim's place."
"We need to go to Brad-gyusoonim's place."

They were surprised with what each other said. They laughed.

"I love you," Seohyun told him. He smiled. He asked for the bill, and they left for Brad's place.

***

Upon entering the bar, a pair of arms were waving to get their attention. Minho and Seohyun immediately saw the hands and looked at the group. Minho was smiling, and Seohyun was flexing her facial muscles.

At one side, Gwangsoo, Gary, and Brad were splattered all over the table: they were drunk.

Yonghwa was beside Taeyeon. His arms were all around her. Jieun was beside the couple, giving Seohyun an awkward smile.

Note:

Been four months since I touched this story, now didn't I? Haha.

To those who waited for this, thanks I guess.

I'd like to apologize to Sagua for using the caps. Sorry, man. It's my personality. I'd do my best to avoid using the caps. <3

Thanks for reading up to this part.

BTW, Busker Busker's amazing.
