UFO Ref Magnet
I opened my eyes and looked up to the ceiling. I woke up to a cold morning. I left the windows open, as I felt uncomfortably warm due to the alcohol and the kiss she and I shared last night. I think it must've been the vodka that Taeyeon brought from Russia. But I know that I'm lying to myself if I say that it's due to the vodka that I felt uncomfortably warm that night.
Her lips were amazing. The way her tongue moves inside my mouth was almost like another living that's invading my mouth and trying to seduce my tongue. If I didn't stop her actions by sucking her tongue off, I would've let out a small moan, which would shame me in front of my and her friends. I tried salivating, to gather whatever taste of hers was left on my mouth. It was incredibly sweet, with a tinge of lemon and tequila. I smiled and stood up to open the curtains. The magnificent sparkle of the Han river greeted me. Man, such a great morning after such a memorable night. Now, how did everything start again?
Oh yeah, it was to celebrate Jungshin and Sooyoung's engagement. The young people in the office went, as all the older members had other priorities to undertake, such as Seulong-hyung going at a fifth attempt to create a baby with his wife, Sohee. Sohee also happened to be my neighbor until middle school, where she had to transfer somewhere else. Leeteuk-hyung was seeing this theater actress that made a debut on television. Kang Sora-ssi, if I'm not mistaken? So yeah, so the people that were present in the party were me, Jonghyun, Minhyuk, Hongki-hyung, Kyuhyun-hyung, Hyoyeon, Tiffany, Taeyeon, Yoona, Yuri, Sunny, Jessica, and Seohyun. The celebration was held in a club that's near the office, for the convenience of transportation, as taxis are abundant around the finance district.
After remembering why I was dead drunk last night, I took my shower and prepared my breakfast. Thank the heavens it's Saturday. I cannot function properly at work if I go in my current state: hungover, my head pounding, and my mind drifting to someone's luscious, delicious, juicy red...

At least that's what they're telling us people on the office. Almost everyone in the office knows that they are destroying each other each and every time that they are together. Everyone always feel uncomfortable whenever they do so. And they did it again last night. They had a fight while dancing on the dance floor, with everyone surrounding them. They look like they were having fun to a stranger, but the people who knew them best know that something was happening. They were exchanging seething and horrible words while flashing a smile that didn't reach their eyes.
After that fight of theirs, she was at the group's table, hogging the bottle of tequila by herself, and Kyuhyun started talking to Sulli, a friend of mine from university who works nearby who happened to be at that club. As expected, he left with her, and I went ahead and soothed Seohyun.
Seohyun is a very fickle person, especially when it comes to her man. She's madly in love for one moment, and then she'd wish for him to die with the girl he is with the next. Her words of loathing could become incredibly scary if she has downed whiskey. Which she did when the night started. So the people in our group counted on me, her best friend, to soothe her down.
Yes, I am her best friend. We connected when she spotted me browsing through cat pictures at work. She could have told me off to the boss, Sandara-ssi, but she joined me in viewing the pictures and we had a laugh together. We did get caught eventually, as her boyfriend told us off, and we got quite a lecture. After that event, we became inseparable friends. Whenever I would go to an event without a friend (a good example of that would be my older brother's wedding last July), she would accompany me. And I would do the same for her. Jungshin once asked me if I would go after her if she would let go of Kyuhyun. I told him that she is a very important friend for me, and that I would rather stay friends with her than risk the friendship that we currently have.
I have finally finished eating my breakfast after thinking about the party, and washed the dishes. I was about to put the kimchi inside the refrigerator when I saw the ref magnet of a UFO that she gave me for my birthday. I chuckled and remembered what happened after last night's party.
I was assigned by the group to take care of Seohyun, as they were living in an opposite direction of hers. I complained as I also live in the opposite direction. They shut me up by using the best friend clause. I finally gave up and took her home. When we arrived in front of her unit, however, she was too drunk to give to me the keys to her door. I tried taking her bag from her, but she was being a child and didn't even let me touch it. Exasperated, I let her rest in a nearby park to sober her up. Her head was laying on my lap, and she was looking upwards, towards the sky. The stars were seeable last night. They were scattered like raisins on a raisin bread. However, unlike my loathing of raisins and anything that has raisin on it, I love the scattered stars. Especially that she is laying on my lap. We practically looked like lovers.
I jolted when she suddenly talked.
"You know," she started.
"Hmm?" I answered a reply.
"I wish aliens are real."
I chuckled.
"Why?"
"Because if they are real, they would go down here, and beam me up."
I laughed.
"No, really! Then they would experiment on me, like what aliens do on movies."
"Why do you want to experience that?"
"Just because I want to know the feeling of being beamed up to a space craft."
I remained silent.
"Haha. I cannot really hide anything from you, Yong?"
"I know you like I know myself."
"Alright. I want to be abducted because I want to end every suffering I'm having right now."
I looked down to her.
"It's because of him, isn't it?"
She nodded. Tears were welling up in her eyes.
"Oh, no, not this again, Hyun. How many times-"
"But I love him!"
"And I love you!"
Her mouth was open. I resisted the urge to put my fingers inside her mouth and pinch her tongue. I really find her tongue adorable. I don't know why.
She stayed silent. I kept on looking at her. And she kept on looking at me.
"Yong?"
"Hmm?"
"Kiss me."
I bent down, and kissed her. She definitely sobered up after that. And everything went awkward. She thanked me as she entered her unit, and I left after she closed the door.
Ahh, now I've told her that I love her.
Wait, my phone's buzzing. It's a text from her. She said they made up. She told me to come and meet her because she wants to thank me for last night. It's as if nothing ever happened. Oh well, Seohyun's Seohyun, after all.
I better take my coat. It's really cold outside.
