Do not mistake me. With this statement I do not seek to mock the duty of the temple-trained summoners. They have spent a decade or more learning the lore of each Aeon, the stories that bind them to their stones. They have practiced the steps of each sending for the cumulation of a year or more, so that their bodies distinguish between a High-Bevellian sending and a Battlefield Elegy and dozens of other variations to best send souls to the Farplane. Yet the High Summoner Yocun was not one counted amoung their illustrious numbers. To her, the Aeons were sources of wisdom, the sending, a way to properly care for the dead, and the pilgrimage...
