5 questions meme:
- Comment with "JACKPOT"''
- I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
- Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
- Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

1) How did you first hear about Liar Game and what drew you to it?

At one point, it was always up on the One Manga website! As to what drew me, short answer would be, if you wanted to create something to pander to my brain, Liar Game post Chapter 17 or so would be it. Seriously, the only thing I could think of that would really, really boost up its "pandering to Jais" mode is if Akiyama were a woman.

2) Which season do you prefer?

I like them all, for different reasons. In the midwest, I was actually really fond of late/winter and early spring. But in Seattle, summer wins.

3) If you could instantly learn one new language with no effort, which one would it be?

Hmm...if I could relearn Spanish to the point where I could converse and read/write fluently in it, I'd pick that, but if we're talking new language...

I'm torn between French, Mandarin Chinese and Korean. I think Mandarin would be most generally useful, I'm just not sure how much I would use it. French, also useful, especially with a culinary student in the house now. =P But since I'm actually putting effort into Korean right now, I think that says the most about where my interests and priorities are. So, Korean, then.

4) What part do you like most in writing fic?

My favorite part is the point where I've basically gotten into the character's head and really have the opportunity to play around with the possibilities that lie within. Just about everything is in character, given the proper reasoning. =D

5) If you could make everyone read just one book, what would it be?

Oy vey. If we're not going on anything more specific, I would say a book of estatic religious poetry from a tradition not one's own. Rilke for non-Christians, Rumi for non-Muslims, etc. It's not so much about any given dogma as a sense of unbounded love and wonder that they convey.
