In other news, it's "Who Gives A Fuck?" day here in the states. While I'm the first to admit I like parts of this day, especially the prixe fixe menus at fancy restaurants that tend to involve things like the belly of tasty, tasty lamb, in the grand scheme of things, who gives a fuck?
Yes, I'm single, and yes, have been for a while now, and sure, haven't had a girlfriend on this day in years, so let's go with that being the source of my bitterness. Why the hell not?
Here's the thing.
If I'm with you, if I care about you, you don't need one fucking day. If you're with me, and wake up, and can honestly go "I don't think dag loves me, or cares for me, or thinks about me", then I've fucked something up.
I'm fine with the cards, the flowers, the dressing up and going out, sure, it's theatre, but it's one I can completely handle. But if you think it means I slack the other 364.25 days a year? Yeah, no. And if you accept that kinda crap from your partner?
