Before the first show even aired, two celebs were already down for the count due to injury. I don't know if that fills up the metaphysical injury budget for this season, but we'll see if Derek whips his head around too hard again.
Leading the pack are Shawn Johnson, Gilles Marini, and Melissa Rycroft. Hopefully Gilles doesn't suffer from the curse of good-looking-guy-who-can-dance-but-nobody-knows-him. Steve-O and David Alan Grier surprised me by not only not sucking, but turning in very respectable performances. The Woz did not surprise me at all with his awkward dancing, but did surprise with his streak of ineffective attempts at nerdy humor. It's a shame the new pros imported from So You Think You Can Dance seem to have been saddled with underwhelming partners. I hope Holly Madison picks up her game because she's quite charming on Girls Next Door. And I sure wish Chelsie Hightower's celeb partner Ty Murray didn't look so much like a putz because she was always a highlight on SYTYCD, and I would've liked to see a Utah Blonde Girl showdown between her and Julianne. I think that'd be a winning proposition for everyone.
Karina, of course, continues to look even more naked regardless of how much more clothes she puts on.
