I got email notification that Hot Hot Heat's new single/video are available for consumption, so I jumped on the link to the freebie video, which dumped me off at a MySpace page....::shudder:: [

Production value is high, lyrics could use some work, and most importantly, it seems the eccentricity that was gradually being excised from the last album is now gone, and they sound like straight power-pop. Enjoyable, though, and I could use some good power-pop, so I'm still eagerly awaiting the album's drop on Sept 11.
Tickets are already on sale for their October 18 show at The Social. I might be interested in going and seeing whether or not their live show has gained any deviation from the recorded sound. They're also playing with Bedouin Soundclash (and De Novo Dahl), so it should have some good stuff. I'd be more inclined to go if anyone else is going. Anyone?
