Another bridge movie. Events happen, but nothing major gets accomplished; it only serves to set up the next movie.
Of course, this is from the perspective of someone who's never read the books.
Feels like we're back in "forced" territory. Forced acting, forced drama, forced emotion from the score and cinematography.
Also, it seems like they skimped on the effects budget so that they could save up for the final Jedi battle at the end. Most everything else looks so sloppy for such a high-profile movie.
