Sorta of a day late for relevancy, wouldn't you say?

Sure, it happens all the time. We're just a few miles down the road from Playboy's #2 ranked hottest campus body, so we always have lookers come in needing help with their computers. Today I had a guest come in with her friend, and they had this new bug I've been dealing with all week: sound works in some apps, doesn't work in others, no device problems in Device Manager, but no audio device recognized by the system. Her friend is attractive and gives me a friendly smile as she leans onto the counter with her low-cut blouse.

At first there's no line behind them, but it begins to build up to the point where I feel guilty about being able to speak at length with the ladies. This whole thing took about ten minutes whilst I played around with things and spoke about the handful of other computers I've dealt with specifically this week with the same issue. As a good speaker, one should address all in the audience, so though the computer belongs to but one of the girls, I share eye contact between the two. However, every time I look toward her friend, she always seemed to have some sort of adoring, I-find-you-and-whatever-you're-saying-facinating look on her face. Near the end the friend asks me my background. I tell her that I am Filipino, and she tells me that her sister is Filipina. (She is very much not Filipina herself.) "Oh?," I say. I figured that perhaps her parent had remarried. Not long after I wondered if she meant her sorority sister.

As I reiterate that this is an oddly newly-common issue, I made sure to once again offer my name in the irrational hope that they'd maybe come by again and ask for me. Professional ethics kept me from trying to think more of those glances. Professional ethics and that I've got no game. Steve is always baffled that I never notice "the hot ladies" that inhabit the area. I do notice, but I know it could be trouble or that it could be an exercise in futility. And I honestly believe that perhaps I'm desensitized to it all. After all, I've been here for almost four years now, and this is his first. That is not to say I cannot appreciate the company when given a personal stake.
