Hey, read more junk about my poor spending habits
Oh, all that money I got refunded to me yesterday? Gone again. Went to Best Buy and fortunately they'd put out the new Ima Robot CD and put down money on the GBA Pokemon Mystery Dungeon so I could get the bonus freebie. The CD's not listed as available for pickup at our store on BestBuy.com, but the inventory system showed we had some in stock. Fortunately I found them, but those 4 copies of The Venture Bros DVD are still mysteriously MIA. Also got Gia Unrated, despite all the gay kissing. Actually I was neither a fan of the movie, nor Angelina Jolie's breasts, so I'm not totally sure why I bought it...
Speaking of being a sucker for a deal, Target was selling some of their dorm furniture for 75% off. I've tried these chairs before and they weren't the best. I passed up this one $50 (originally $200) loveseat w/ ottoman set because 1.) it's too big to put anywhere in the apartment and 2.) it's too big to fit in my car. I did, however, buy a $12.48 chair. It's both better and worse than when I first tried it. It's better in that I don't feel the bar under my butt as much, but the back is straight-vertical, so it's not the most comfortable. Also, setup was a pain in the ass. This thing is pretty much one of those fold-out hotel luggage shelves with a cushion strapped on top. I think buying a canvas chair would have been more comfortable for the money. I also picked up both South Park season 6 and the complete Firefly for $19 each, and a Rachel Ray DVD set for $10. Unfortunately the Good Eats set I wanted wasn't part of the $10 Food Network DVD sale.
GameStop's still not taking Wii preorders, but I spent a ton of money there today anyway. I renewed my GameInformer subscription, and found a Sleeping Beauty DVD in pretty good cosmetic condition for just $13 before discount. I also found Chasing Amy for $10, which made me buy Duel and Punch Drunk Love to round out the 3-for-$20 deal on $9.99 DVDs. I also picked up Xyanide since it's one of those budget-priced obscure shmups you just have to support.
I've just begun juggling my hard drives as I upgrade/move around disks between my two desktop computers. What a pain.
