Upgraded internet? Yeah, right.

Over the past several months, Northgate has been in the process of adopting a new internet service. Now we're under Pavlov Media with supposedly quadruple bandwidth. But... We have an individual quota of 250MB of transfers a day. You're kidding, right? Someone can eat that up just spending a couple hours on YouTube. And it still seems as unimpressive as ever--I only scored 122kbps on a bandwidth test. That's only ISDN speed, for cryin' out loud! Xbox Live connection issues seem to be gone, though, but it's still not speedy.

Let's hope this this new service is impotent enough to get roomies to want to split a cable subscription.

internet, rant, northgate
