Seeking Roommates for Fall '06 -- Northgate Lakes

Feb 26, 2006 21:01

My friend and I are in an annoying little situation that because we're in a co-ed apartment situation, the apartment cannot place anyone into the rooms that will be vacated. And lest we find people to fill those spots, we ourselves will be moved to different apartments. We're one guy and one girl (with currently one other guy and other girl).

We will have two rooms in a four bed/four bathroom (private bathroom) opening up for fall '06. (Actually, I'm sure the other girl would be happy to sublease out the remainder of her current lease.) Rent will be $525 a month for a year lease, and includes utilities, cable with HBO, and internet (each bedroom has its own ethernet port). The kitchen includes a microwave (700w, I believe), stove/oven, refrigerator, two-basin sink, dishwasher, and a good amount of counter space and walking room; and there is also a washer and dryer. Bathrooms have a sink with a good amount of additional surface to the side to place things, large mirror, a couple of drawers, under-sink storage, toilet, and bathtub w/ shower. Getting hot water at any time of the day has never been a problem for me. Bedrooms include a 5-drawer dresser, desk and chair, and a full-size bed, double-width closet w/ mirror doors. They measure approx. 12',3" x 11' (with the closet taking up some of that space). Living room has ceiling fan, couch and loveseat, coffee table, 4-person round glass dining table. We also have a balcony with screen door and vertical blinds. (TV and most other furnishings will be leaving with one of the vacating tenants.)

Northgate Lakes is directly behind the school on McCulloch. The most important reason to consider this is that if you're driving to school, you don't have to touch Alafaya. And if you decide to take the free shuttle, you can get on before the people from the Tivoli apartment complex. Our apartment is on the second floor (of three), near the garbage dumpster, and adjacent to two parking areas in addition to being closest to visitor parking. The apartment complex has two swimming pools, a gym, volleyball court, mini-movie theater, cyber cafe, and rec room. We are very close to the rear pool with the gym. Little picnic tables and BBQ grills surround each building. The office has a decent library of DVD's you can check out for free. No pets allowed. Judging from past LJ posts, we don't have any gunshot/helicopter concerns that aren't uncommon with other college apartments.

Neither of the remaining two of us are smokers nor big party-ers. We'll both be 4th year students come fall, but don't mind one way or the other about how far along the potential roomie will be. Me, I'm a big video game fanatic and like to cook whenever possible. She...is a stressed-out nursing student. I guess I'm a stressed-out Digital Media student, too. Come join the party!

If you're interested or know anybody who is--or would like more information about either the apartment or us, please leave a response here, IM me at DaFunkk12, or email me at dafunkk12[@]gmail[dot]com.
