Dammit, I just know they're never coming back to Florida

22 US concert dates and nothing even close to me. What makes it worse is who Franz Ferdinand's touring buddies are. The Cribs and Death Cab for Cutie.

Seems Alex and Nick are interviewed in the new Playboy. I'll have to pick up a copy while I'm out.

UPDATE: You probably didn't think I was serious. I stopped by Barnes & Noble and looked over the magazine racks and didn't find any risque magazines, which actually relieved me. No more easy access for the kiddies. So I line up at the counter until the next clerk is ready, a nice young lady. "I can take the next person, please!" "Hi, do you ha-..." ::crash:: Something significantly sized falls from the lamp or ceiling. "Um. Do you have the March issue of Playboy already?" She goes to the other end of the counters and opens the cabinet, looking. "We have a couple here you can choose from." I walk over. "I...just want one." She shows me the covers. Vixens...blah, blah, etc. "Oh. I want the actual magazine. The one with the articles." She finds it and hands it to me. I think to myself why couldn't she take it back to her register all the way at the other end. Is this some sort of social experiment to see how I handle this? Well, I didn't roll it up. Besides, there was nothing more risque than Jessica Alba in a bikini on the cover; and how many times have you seen that on magazine covers before already?

Believe it or not, this is my first Playboy purchase, or any other skin mag for that matter. I was actually considering just subscribing if they hadn't gotten in the issue yet. It would cost the same for a year as buying three on the newsstand, and I could stand for some actual reading between the boobs--something that my seemingly endless freebie subscriptions to Maxim/FHM/Stuff sure don't offer. The February issue had John McCain's name listed on the cover. I wonder if anybody brought in an issue to have him autograph last week...

UPDATE 2: [ In case you were wondering why I just had to buy the magazine ] (Don't worry, I cropped out the boob.) The Sounds are also in a fashion pictorial, which was a very welcome surprise. I hope that means another album coming up and maybe another Orlando tour-date.
