Dear people who came in with Janel and were possibly saying "hi."
I apologize for not really hearing nor noticing you. Burnout just got more crack-like!
--Carl
I picked up the new Burnout for both Xbox and PSP. (That's my first PSP game I bought since launch, and it's still not much more than a port.) Like I said, Revenge is so much more giddy fun, especially now that I've got it hooked up for Dolby Digital. The crashes make the most gratifying thud with the subwoofer, and the camera work is so much more cinematic and involving. Legends (the PSP one) really is just a best-of mix. The small, low-res graphics and (your choice of) imprecise digital or clumsy analog make the game less relaxing than it should be, but it is still a decent experience. The load times aren't aggravatingly long, but it's still not as quick as you'd like. Thus far, the screen doesn't ghost as noticably as with other quick-moving games, which is something of a surprise. Especially if you choose to use the analog nub, the PSP is quite a chore to hold and to use as a controller. PSP still doesn't get a thumbs up from me. It's the top-of-the-line in handheld consoles, but it is definately not made of top-of-the-line components or ergonomics.
