Carl's Movie Mini-Review

Decent escapist fun. I would say the original was better. The poor excuse for CG was incredibly annoying for me. The movie is rather straight-forward and brisk, for better or worse. I think that a lingerie-assassin was an interesting idea, but her voice totally ruined her for me. Maybe something foreign, or maybe something deeper would've been more pleasing to the ears. As for the Lamborghini, it wasn't nearly as breathtakingly utilized as it should have been. The lack of generic pumping techno (or any music at all) during several of the fight scenes was a breath of fresh air, allowing Statham's athletic ability to speak for itself.
I'd recommend it if you need a good, light non-oriental-starring action film. Otherwise, there's definately better.
