So after quite a hassle fandangaling a way to pay for textbooks today with my dad's credit card while he's still in Jacksonville, I managed to pick up what I needed (hopefully all I'll need for the year; no surprise requried books). Fortunately the C Programming book is the same as the one I bought freshman year, so that saved a hundred bucks. I also picked up what looks to be the only used Italian textbook--the cover is a bit worn, but the inside looks fine--(of course the workbook and lab manual don't have used versions available). For some reason I'm sure I'll discover, my Digital Rhetorics class uses a few comic book books for text books... Namely Scott McCloud's (sworn enemy of Mike & Jerry of Penny Arcade) Reinventing Comics (seems the last owner of this book is just like me and never touched it after buying it) and volume 13 of McSweeney's Quarterly Concern, whose just jacket looks cleverly like an aged, folded sheet of Sunday comics.
EDIT: Upon reading the back, seems the dust jacket is the book I am being required to buy, and the large, hardbound book is simply a bonus compilation along with the two mini-books tucked into its folds. Or maybe they're just being funny about the whole package.
