Have rolled in the door from the annual Work Dinner. Did my best to eat a steak the size of my head. I swear it was three inches thick. Hot all the way through, but brown only on the outside; pink shading to blue all inside. Also: margeritas, piña coladas, a bottle of superb Chilean wine, garlic mashed potatos, mushrooms escargo baked goat cheese tuna tataki calamari and superfine cheesecake. Groan.
My god that wine was good. You can't get anything that dry from a kit. Go Chile.
Tomorrow: The latest episode of Storming the Wizard's Tower! This week: a proper dénoument to The Adventure of the Brass Serpent, and we'll divvy up treasure and spend xp's. We might also make some new characters, to increase the character pool. And then - Life in the Village!
Cadfael the healer is leaving! "That's it! I've had enough! When I said I wanted a cooler climate THIS ISN'T WHAT I MEANT!! I won't spend another winter in this HORRIBLE FROZEN HELL!!" He does this every year, but he's serious; if you don't persuade him to stay he'll be gone.
