The last week or so has been interesting, the Other Half is in the USA and the moment he departs the shores of the UK anything that can go wrong does. The day after he left the computer threw a hissy fit and came up with the 'Blue Screen of Death', before His Nibs went he said " The Anti-virus needs updating, when the reminder comes up just follow the instructions and download" - Yep I can do that, so when the reminder popped up, duly clicked on, followed instructions and downloaded updated programme. Rebooted the computer and thats when the problems started. After a frustrating hour managed to find out what wrong and do a system restore as suggested which didn't work and kept closing the computer down, gave up and cursed all computers as I looked forward to a possible 3 weeks without internet etc. That was the first little problem
The next day was driving to work and one of the villages I drive through has chicane entries/exits was going through one of the chicanes, when there was a bump, drove into work and when I got there the passenger front wheel has developed a bulge and possible split. Okay I'll change the wheel, no problems. Couple of work colleagues came out to help as I have problems with lifting - whilst getting the spare tyre out, realised the locking bolt tool isn't there, no way we can get the wheel off to change. After a quick conflab I rang our friendly garage in the village I live and explained the dilemma, they we can sort it out. So I drove back home very slowly followed by one of my colleagues to the garage via my house where I had a quick look for the locking nut tool and couldn't see in any of the usual places my husband puts it. Got to the garage who took the car in the workshop and said they would sort it(tyre) out asap and have a look for the all important locking tool.
I walked home wondering what else can go wrong. To cut a long story short on this, garage sorted the tyre and found the locking nut tool in the ashtray, the one place I didn't look!
As for the computer I spent Sunday in the house of one my brothers mates who after the initally thinking the hardrive was on the way out, managed to run a diagnostic and find out the problem which was the Anti-virus I downloaded was conflicting with the Mcfee one installed but not used on the laptop. My brothers friend managed to get the computer working and cleared out of surplus stuff we did not require - result the computer 'runs' faster.
And now onto the nail polish thing............I don't wear a lot of make-up at work, but I do look after my hands, regular manicures and so on. As for nail polish I can't wear pretty pale colours with my skin tone, I suit the darker colours, blues, purples, greens and dark vampy reds. Today I received from the USA the 'Vampy Varnish' collection from BB Couture, and now had a job deciding whether to wear 'Napa Valley Red'(Dark wine red with shimmer) or 'Mendinceo Midnight' or lastly 'Redwood Forest'(both greens) - decisions, decisions.............
