It's been a hell of a week.

I can safely say that thus far, this has been the worst week of my life.

As those of you who read know, I found out on Monday that it is unlikely that I will ever be able to have children. On Friday, I learned that I am being charged with a DUI, DUI drugs, and 2 charges of Criminal Damage, due to an incident that occurred back in November of 2013 ( Read more... )

Please try and attempt to fight the charges. You had no intent to do any harm, and had no idea what you were doing. You didn't go out and get smashed and drive, you took a legally prescribed sleep aid that had an awful side effect.

I would fight the DUI charge since it isn't very accurate. The damages charges sure because you did do that, but allowing them to put a misdemeanor DUI on your record when you weren't knowingly taking something that could cause such an issue is another story entirely.

If I was you personally I would look more into this Ambien lawsuit about to take place and contact one of the lawyers. I am positive they would be willing to take on your case/add it to theirs (ie: even if you do get charged it can be sealed and not held against you). Most of the time those lawsuits are done for free and a fee only taken out of the winnings.

What about this guy? Did you try him?

Unfortunately, because the bottle specifically states (due to I would assume, an old lost lawsuit) not to drive on the medication, it doesn't matter... also, I had more than the prescribed dose in my system, so I had "overdosed" (though again, don't remember taking more, either).... so I "knowingly" took it. I didn't know I'd have a bad reaction - I could never have predicted that... but they don't honestly care.

The last link though does state how you can sleep walk/drive etc and not even know it. I'd really give it a shot hun. There have been over 700 lawsuits and I am sure the lawyers (if they are as good as they claim) would know how to work it. Don't give up!

These guys do a free consultation: http://www.schmidtlaw.com/ambien-car-accident-lawsuit/

Your injuries may not ALL be physical, but it cannot hurt to ask/look into it, right?

Sorry one more since this one is free too and doesn't necessarily have to be physical harm.

I didn't have any injuries other than whiplash.

Also... unfortunately they specifically state that they are looking for ambien-induced NEXT MORNING accidents, and not cases involving sleep-driving, which is what mine was. =\

I have a possible consult with someone in a few days though, so... yeah.
