Busy Day!

I love how since the accident, I really haven't been stuck here at home. It seems as though I have just continued on with my life, without letting a near fatal crash getting in the way.

Yesterday was a totally kick ass day. Brow had the van so he drove Monica and I to and from school. After school, we headed to Taco Bell, and had an ass long conversation about Wildwood, relationships/girls, plans for the summer, etc. It ended up lasting about 2 hours, but it was really cool catching up with him. Hate to say it, but I've missed him the past month. Anyways, I came home for about an hour or so, when Brow picks me up yet again to head to Lonestar with Mark Jones and Paul D'Alesandro (hope I spelled that right.. it's been a while since I've had too lol) for "All you can eat" ribs. If you know my eating habits at all, you know that I absolute love ribs, and had I not eaten at Taco Bell 4 hours before hand, I mighta been able to eat the 2 full racks that Paul had. After Lonestar, and saying hello and good to Daley and Lindsay D'Ambrosio, we headed to Tunes where I picked up "Start Something" by Lostprophets and I finally got "Meteora" by Linkin Park. All in all, despite the numerous cracks about my accident, especially the children's Mad Libs of "things you do when you're tired", which ended up being "crashing into 2 telephone poles", really wrong, but I'll admit, very funny, it was a really good night.

Today kicked just about as much ass. Went to school, and saw Laura up and on her feet, doin her normal thing, which was good to see. English was actually pretty cool today cause Shawny Shawny Hill did a presentation on Canada, and also had a double whammy cause he had to present his song today: Paradise City by Guns N Roses.. totally awesome song.. but as the day went on, it got progressively better. We had Mrs. Kennedy for French, and when Kneppie isn't there, it's a good day. Lunch was kinda lonely without Fillman, especially since Brow pretty much raped my sorry ass again in Rat Screw, but the highlight was definitely when he knocked over his chocolate milk that splattered all over him, the floor, and the table. Physics I got to leave early cause I had to go see the ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist). So as soon as I get down to the attendance office, my dad shows up.. really awesome timing. So he tells me that we have to stop off at Kennedy to get the X-rays from my nose. We do that, and head up to the ENT's office. After a little bit of difficulty finding it once we were in the complex, we got there, and basically he told me that my nose is definitely broken, that it's bent "3/16 of an inch to the left" (where he pulled that number out of his ass is beyond me..), and we set up an appointment for Monday to get it fixed, which means that I miss one day of school... and guess what Becky!!! I get a brace LOL!! So after the ENT's, we head to the Williamstown DMV to get a replacement title for my car because my rents couldn't find it, even though I couldda swore it was in the glove compartment. But one thing led to another and we couldn't get it because it was under my mom's name. So being a little pissed because it's costing my rents $15 a day to keep the car at the tower's lot because we don't have the title to give the car over to him, we headed to the Monroe Twp Police Dept. to get my license, registration, and insurance card back. Low and behold, the title is in there as well!! The cops took it! Bastards! Oh well, it saved my dad $25 from making a copy, so at this point he was pretty happy lol. So I get back home and wait for my mom to get back so she could go over with my dad to hand over the scraps of metal aka my car. They come home, and my dad tells me that we're going to Rite Aid. I assumed he wanted me to drive, which I was cool with.. I wanted to get back on the road anyway.A little while later, I get a challenge from Stevo saying that he is undefeated at Mario Kart 64. So I tell him that I can fix that tonight if he wanted, and being the dummy that he is, he took me up on it. We played between periods of the Flyers game and actually during all of the third period while I had nhl.com playing the game through the computer. Eventually, Brow came over as well. When the game got to OT, I said that I can't miss it.. so we ended our Mario Kart spree.. results are as follows...

We did one Mario GP.. the Star Cup

Steve ended up with 6 points and finished 4th
I ended up with 20 points and finished 1st

In Battle Mode, we both had 7 wins.. so Steve, despite what he said in his journal, didn't beat me in battle mode.. but I didn't beat him.. so we'll have to decide that dispute later on.

Then when Brow came over, we did Versus Mode.. If you do the standard 5pts for 1st, 3 for 2nd, and 1 for 3rd, results are as follows for 11 games...

Brow had 21 and placed 3rd
Steve had 29 and placed 2nd
I had 49 and placed 1st

Needless to say I cleaned house. Now here's the thing.. Out of the 3 of us, I was the only one that doesn't own a 64, and Steve was actually the only one who owned the game, so you can kinda understand how Steve did better than Brow.. but I don't even have a 64.. and how the hell were you undefeated??

Whatever... The Flyers ended up winning in OT, which was an awesome period of hockey, depsite the fact that Toronto played a hell of a lot better in it, and also, Sami Kapenen got drilled really hard at the end of it, but I think he's ok.

After the game, I had a pretty serious convo with Laura involving the accident. I think right now we're just helping each other get through this the best that we can.

As for the rest of the week, I have a 7 hour shift tomorrow, Thursday is parade practice, Friday is Deptford's prom, Saturday is the parade then a shift at night, Sunday looks free for now, and then next week Monday's the operation, Tuesday is the French Club dinner, and Wednesday is apparently the Wind Ensemble concert. I'm gonna stay busy busy busy.... fun stuff and some work stuff... so I have some mixed feelings about it, but I'm going to anxiously await the day I can look at my fixed up nose in the mirror without a brace again.

Been some pretty cool days lately, I hope I can keep it up.
