Tuesday Wednesday Heart Attack...
I really do dislike that song... but anyhoo...
Ah Friday... day of signing on and explaining what i have done in the past two weeks since my last visit. I hate job centres as most people seeking work should. It is a way of keeping tabs on what you have been doing so that the money they are giving you is not going to waste. Never though for one second fall into the trap of doing your job searches to satisfy them. It is first and foremost to satisfy yourself. This is of course a reminder to myself ;)
Got the heads up that some jobs will be appearing on the Civil Service website... i don't mind the Civil Service, i like what they are set up to in do serving the public. I do mind poor management and ministerial decisions that make their jobs more difficult in the long run.
Got a quote back from a local garage (just round the corner) for my poor ailing car... £700 or there abouts for the timing belt change which compared to the £1,154 quote from Leeds Toyota is a steal! So car is booked in for next Tuesday and hopefully *fingers crossed* that is the last i get to hear about it.
I am slowly finding my feet here though which is good... Went for a run with sarah_orange on Thursday after buying some running shoes and much as i hate exercise and running in particular (i still feel self concious about moving my arms when doing so) it will do me some good.
So to the weekend with childs... it has been two weeks since i last saw her and despite the fact she can quite easily drive me to madness and distraction i love and miss her dearly :D
