lulz. I wrote this last year for a teacher friend of mine who was teaching kindergarten. I told her that she could read this story to her kids, but for some reason she didn't like that idea very much. (Really, I just wanted practice writing a hundred-word drabble and needed a subject for one, but I didn't tell her that.) Enjoy. It's so short I'm not even putting an LJ cut. :P
THE NOODLE THAT WASN'T EATEN
Steven the noodle had large aspirations for his future. Standing in his cylindrical container with all the rest of his noodle family, Steven dreamed of being boiled in the pot and being fed to the little boy in the house. With his starchy nutrition, Steven dreamed of bringing strength and vitality to that little body, helping it to become big and strong. But Steven's dreams were not to be realized. One day the boy's mother dropped him on the floor and threw him away. Steven the noodle cried for his dreams in the dumpster, where he was eaten by cats.
