I love Queer as Folk.
I love the characters. I love the situations they bring up. I love how it reminds me of things in my life.
How it makes me remember why I *love* politics.
Its because, if we don't stand up then we'll get stepped on. And because everyone deserves equal rights.
Because, if you're gay. Or bisexual. or Transexual. or you stand up for gay rights you're called Blasphemous. You are spat on by the conservatives. Told you don't deserve the right to get married, to have children or adopt children, or to call themselves christian. They try to make you feel as if you're less because of the way you are.
And I love that Queer as Folk addresses it! I love the fact that they bring in the politics. That they bring in the family unit. and break ups. And what is happening around us. It brings it to light and I adore that.
The characters are real. And the situations are real.

I really need to buy it all on dvd. Because I love it all.
and I am gonna die at next weeks episode..and I'm definitely gonna cry. And if I'm not here. SOMEONE IS TAPING IT FOR ME. cause explosions, and someone is supposed to die this season anyway....and from the way it looked.
