Warning, this is as long and probably boring story.
Wow, today was eventful. I got up at 6:30, damn that was early, and got ready and went over to the Vernon's house so we could meet them and then head up to Caroga lake. Then we went to a couple places and ended up get breakfast at Dunkin Donuts and my dunkiccino (?) was mostly coffee (eww) but whatever. Next we went to Hess and got gas and I had the joy of running in and paying both times (once for the car and once for the sleds) and telling the guy that the pump was leaking (it leaked all over my sled's seat). We finally reach Caroga lake and my dad keeps yelling at me for stupid things cause I am trying to get my stuff on instead of taking care of the sleds. Then neither Gary nor my father knew where to go to get on a trail so they went looking for people to ask and we eventually end up going over two lakes twice and then find people to ask where we are supposed to be going and they tell us and we get there. So we are going along and we come to this bridge, just like every other bridge, right? WRONG! This bring is right after a turn, narrower than most other bridges and didn't have and rails on it. Well that really wouldn't have been a problem if it hadn't been for someone who went through earlier and started to go off the right side. I figured that I would just stick to the left side of the bridge. Big mistake, I end up off the bridge and fell a foot or two and then sink into a few feet of snow and ice. I was kinda in shock and my foot was stuck but it was all good. It took forever to get my sled back on the bridge and I was mighty scared of every other bridge we went on and cursed the trail people for not labeling every bridge but we eventually make it to food (after stopping at least 6 times for Gary and my father to figure out where they were going). The food was good and it was worth falling of the bridge. During our meal we talked about lots of stuff but mostly my accidents on the sleds (yeah I'm good at having accidents on the sleds) and then we left and eventually we meet my friend the bridge again and this time I make it over without problems but there is this guy on a sled at the top of the hill above the bridge and I almost tip the sled (I told you I'm good at having accidents!) but I manage to get by and the people follow us cause they are lost. Awhile later we are going down this hill and my sled almost tips again so I stick out my leg to stop it but something goes wrong and my leg ends up hitting a few things and I fly up and did a nice face dive into the seat of my sled. I managed to keep going but man it hurt. Finally my father and Gary get us lost again (or so Leanna and I think) but we eventually end up back where we started.
So today I had to endure falling of a bridge, hurting my leg, doing a face dive into my sled, getting stuck in the middle of the road twice (oh, did I forget to mention that), and gaining a horrible fear of bridges only to take a 70 mile trip and not get above 45 mph, even on lakes?! Ehh, it was worth it and I'm still alive.
