It has been awhile since I last updated so I figured it was about time for an update.

Band camp has been going pretty well. I think I am doing well on the flag team but I guess only Mrs. Giles, Maria, or possibly Emily could say how well I am actually doing. Flag team is pretty fun even if I complain about it a lot. It isn't as tiring this week as it was last week so I think my endurance is building. I do have one complaint about band camp and that is the hot weather. The flag team practices outside in the sun which drains all of my energy. I don't feel physically exhausted due to the routines, instead I feel exhausted due to the sun. Luckily band camp ends this week and so will the six hours practices every day.

Last Saturday was my birthday and I celebrated the event by throwing myself a party. It was so much fun seeing everyone. We did so many silly things like play Toothpaste in the pool and play with sparklers down by the fire. We also got a massive game of the human knot going which was awesome. My friends bought me DDR and a really good pad but the pad has yet to arrive. That isn't a big bummer though because one my birthday my brother bought the same pad and he left it here for me to use so I still get to play. I've decided to use the game as a workout since it has a mode specifically for that purpose. Today I actually burned 325.938 kcals which would amount to 4.154 miles of jogging. My brother got me a really cool gift for my birthday as well. It is a DVD set of my favorite Japanese animation series called Fushigi Yuugi. I can't really explain what the series is about because it would be a long and difficult explanation so just trust me that it is good. I have already watched like 14 episodes of it and I only received it yesterday.

Last Sunday I went down to visit my grandparents which is cool because I rarely see them. My grandmother is in a wheelchair due to a number of strokes and so she has trouble getting around. Since she is unable to travel my father and I try to go down to visit as often as we can. When we arrived there on Sunday my grandfather had purchased a birthday card and had placed $40 inside. This was a pleasant surprise because my grandparents have forgotten about my birthday the past couple years and I didn't expect a gift even after they did remember. After talking with them for a while all of us went out to dinner at a diner in town. It is a difficult process to get my grandmother around but with the help of their resident assistant, Nino, it is possible. Dinner at the diner was great and after everyone had finished we all said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. On the way home from my grandparent's house I saw the most unusual thing. As we were driving up the thruway I noticed a black bear coming out of the woods! I was so amazed that all I could do was gape and point at the magnificent creature. When my father noticed what I was pointing to he verified that I was not imagining things and that I had really seen a black bear. That moment will go down in my mind forever because it will probably be the only time I will see a black bear in the wild. It was such an amazing event that I wish I had a picture of it to remind myself.

I think that I have written an adequate amount so I think I shall stop. Goodnight everyone, sweet dreams. I hope you enjoyed my entry, please feel free to comment as I throughly enjoy reading what people have to say about my life. Thank you!
