Well, I've been at work for an hour now and I'm ready to go home. My boss is in meetings all day, my work for the week is done, and I'm bored as hell. It doesn't help that the weather outside (yes, the crappy snow in "spring") makes me want to go home and curl up in bed with a good book. I'm so done with winter, and the cold. I kinda feel like one of those kids eagerly anticipating some special day, 'X'-ing out each day that goes by with a black marker. The special day I'm looking forward to though is the day I can go outside in a jacket and be warm. When I was a kid, I never wore long sleeve shirts, now I can't seem to add enough layers to stay warm. Maybe I'm just developing some spring fever...
Let's see, what's going on these days. D&D tonight.. going to do some clothes shopping this weekend (weather be damned), as I am in dire need of new outfits... Brian will be slaving away for the tax gods... not much else planned. Maybe I'll make some stew, that would be tasty! Stew, stew, stew, stew... Mmmmmm... I've been watching a lot of Alton Brown's "Good Eats" and it has instilled in me the desire to "make a rue" and "temper some eggs"!
I think I need something to be passionate about again. I realize now that I go through these weird cycles of intense fascination which can quickly fade away if not properly stoked (I blame my Aquarius nature... "This is thre greatest idea in the world! Oooh, look something shiny.."). I've been trying to cultivate some interests recently, but something keeps dampening them. For example, I've been doing the whole working out thing, but now I've reached the point where I am beyond my home weights and will need to go to the gym. With crappy weather though, I don't want to leave the house.
No good video games out.. friends are all still in hibernation mode.. Oh! I have to take 10 days of vacation before May 21st, so I have a lot of loooong weekends in April and May. If anything is going on those days (or anyone else that doesn't work wants to do some brunch or something), I'll be just be hanging out in town. Hopefully the weather will have warmed up by then.
