Cruising

I was in my old bedroom, sorting through the massive pile of packets of jelly snakes that someone had given me. My Sister had told me about them, and I was kinda sorting them, and eating all the loose snakes *giggles* Some were slipping down between the shelf and the wall so I saved as many of those as I could. Then my Mother grabbed me and told me it was time to go. Go where?

We went to a cruise ship and settled into our chairs. We were on the left hand side, which was only 2 seats wide so I had one with my Sister (who got the window seat) with my Parents in front of us. Someone had taken my crutches away along with our luggage. The ship pulled out and set off, and I sat in my seat and waited and wondered. And waited and wondered some more. Is this all there was? The boat seemed rather empty.

I got up and went for a walk, heading forwards. I left our section and entered a new section, which was full of chairs which folded down into beds, which had it's own salesman who was energetically trying to sell them to anybody who passed. He hadn't gotten anyone yet. In the section after that it was like ours but much more up market. Also there was food all over the floor and stewards cleaning it up. I gingerly made my way past the food and the stewards and heard comments like "why didn't she like it? (the soup) She said it was a bit bitter" I made my way as far forward as I could, and was stopped by a bulkhead. There was a window and I could see into the command part of the ship, someone was driving a big wooden wheel like in pirate movies (she was sitting in a comfy chair though, and the wheel was attached to a very modern console) I could see out past her to where the ship was going, but the view wasn't very good.

I made my way backwards, past the food and the stewards, past the energetic salesman, and past my family, who were placidly sitting there enjoying the trip. I got to the rear of the ship and there was a small viewing platform there, with some sunshine :) That felt nice *purrrrs* We pulled in at a stop right at the edge of Sydney. There were some rather posh houses here, but they were all looking a little old. As we pulled in a auto repair store was by the rear viewing platform and some young kids swam out and I chatted with them. As we pulled out the kept up and kept chatting till I pointed out how far we'd gone and they should head back. The water here was deep and clear and as they started back I could see sharks rising up beneath them, nibbling the kids, playing with them :(

This was wrong. I made my way back to my parents and saw a woman on crutches. She had her crutches, where were mine? It was bad for me to be walking so much without them. I got back to my family and asked them what was going on. We were off to Vanuatu, a 3 day trip, and this was the best it would get. 3 days of no food and no entertainment in hard seats that didn't recline. Screw that! I told them we'd have been better flying, and it would have been cheaper too, and stormed off. I inquired about how to get up onto an open deck of the ship and was already radioing for the nearest aircraft carrier. I was going to transform into a jet and fly off. I was out of here!
