I was with a friend, and she'd bought a house in a nice part of town. Naturally it was up near the top of a hill, you definitely needed the hand brake when parking here. We were by her car chatting about something when a guy came by asking if we knew of someone. We didn't, but asked why. Some person from here had sent someone he knew a letter, but the person it had been sent to had died so he was returning it. He thought that it had come from around here somewhere, but as there was no return address he wasn't sure. We took the letter and at my suggested we started going from door to door through the neighbourhood. After a couple of houses on one side I suggested that we split up and I do the other side. My friend really wasn't sure about that, especially when I said I'd start with the big posh place at the corner. Apparently the people who lived there really weren't very nice. I went over anyway, what were they going to do really? It was a big house, and as I climbed the stairs to the front door I noticed that someone was already there. I chatted with her and she was there to visit and I was seriously under dressed *giggles* A lady came to the door and was glad to see the visiting lady, but looked rather imperiously at me, why had I dared approach her door!? I explained that we were trying to find someone as we had a letter for him and she reacted in shock. This was the place, the person was her son, and he'd died recently :( I handed over the letter and made my way out. Walking down the hill with my friend I remarked upon how easy that had turned out and I realised that I was carrying a large polished steel pistol! Where had this come from? Obviously it had come from the house I'd just been to, so I went up and put it back on a little table by the front door. About 1/2 way down the steps I realised that I'd left it so it was pointing towards the door, probably not the best look. So I stopped and went back up, and pointed it sideways instead.
