Cookout.

Cooked for six hours last day.
Baked bread for the first time too - the first loaf went out great, the second went out prematurely and so fell apart. But still tasted great. Beer bread, with the simpelest recipe you can find. Added some dried tomatoes and olives for good measure, and used Guinness and Leff for the beer. Tasty. Much like making a cake, just without the sugar :)

The rest of the meal was usual - two types of rice. One with herbs (thyme and basil) and the second with yellow spices and fried onion. Potatoes in the over with thyme, rosemary and rock-salt. Good steaks with caramelized wine sauce, fried liver jumbled with yet more onions. For dessert a home-made apple pie with vanilla ice-cream. Good food. Good company too - the Arnis guys.

Earlier that day, we had a visit from the ninja-people to the Arnis class, they where funny, jumping around and throwing various knives. We had a good joint class and I got scolded for not keeping my distance from the knife. For some reason after enough years in Nin-Jutsu you get to the point where showing off ain't the point.

Work today, then a demo of Arnis at the Filipino community this evening. How ironic, that only the master of the art is Filipino, and the rest of the team is whole Israel mid-upper class...
