Three years ago:
Tski, punch, force generated, eyes on target, retract fist, flow into defense.
Three months ago:
Tski, punch, eyes on target. Flow into defense.
Two weeks ago:
Tski. Flow into defense.
Yesteday:
"Get going on preparing for blue belt" said my senior blackbelt.

Tski is the most basic motion in nin-jutsu, basically a lounge-punch, just about everything else is derived from the ability to twist the hips in just the right direction and align the entire mass of the body behind a long strike. When you get better, you tend to understand you don't have to charge all the way. With time distance grows shorter and short, until no movement or almost no movement of the legs is needed. From this stage you start building... I feel as if all I have learned up until now was but a preparation for some invisible next stage.
Well, I guess what they say is true, the more I know, the more I understand I do not know. But the big revelation is just that. It's not impossible, it's not out of reach. Hack, i'm well on my way!
