I voted today

It is a remarkably good feeling to know that I went out and told my government what I want from them. To know that I can choose the candidate that's best for me, and not have to tell anybody about it if I don't want to. To know that promising my brother what I will do in the voting booth has no bearing on what I WILL do in the voting booth. To know that my vote on an electronic machine left a paper trail clearly marking the people I chose.

I feel better about our democracy today than I have for some time.
