I'd like an order of normalcy please...

Well it's been a heck of a January so far. The service was lovely and it was great to see a lot family I'd not seen in quite some time (in one case, not since my dad's memorial). Also visited my brother and his wife's new home. It's a beautiful place, it really looks like a show home. But I'm quite happy with what we have. And my Lord our nephew has grown! He'll be two in February. Didn't quite know what to make of us, but he was utterly adorable the whole time. Watching him interact with one of my cousin's kids (who's his age) was so cute to watch. He's also going to be a big brother this summer it sounds like. Seeing him has really reinforced how much I want kids.

As you may have heard, akapinkie's sister was in the hospital recently for an appendectomy. She's ok and is home resting comfortably. That was just part of the fun news we got the week my grandmother died. My uncle went into surgery yesterday for prostrate cancer. My aunt hasn't had a chance to call us with an update yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll all turn out alright.

All this traveling the last month as finally caught up with us, akapinkie and I are both sick. Nothing severe, but it's one of those 'I'm not sick enough to sleep all day but at the same time I don't have the energy to do all the normal things I do' kind of things. Bleh.

So I'm hoping the rest of 2008 will be a little more calm for us, Lord knows it's been rather crazy the last few months.
