I don't want the time to pass without marking it. I, very suddenly (to me) lost a friend this past weekend. It coloured my mood a fair bit, as you can imagine. I'm far away from her family, and mine, and our friends, and it all seems incredibly surreal. I want to offer condolances to everyone there, but don't know the best way/time to go about it. And of course life is going on, here, and everywhere.
I had my 3rd couch surfer come visit last week. His name is Tomer and he's from Israel. He was a wonderful guest, very funny and kind, and we went around to the usual (for me) haunts: Gowariyasu, Ritsurin Park, Sam's (for Mexican food night), a temple (#77), and Matt W's. The 3rd video game party was there and went well. I didn't play any games, just sat around and let myself be absorbed in the company of friends.
And tonight, in about an hour, I'm catching the bus up to Tokyo to see Dustin for the first time in...way too long, and for my Peace Boat interview. I must be my genkiest self.
This video cheered me up immensly, enjoy.
